Day 66: Standing Up

Day 66:

Apparently when mom leaves the hospital next Friday, she has no intentions of being wheeled or carried to the car...

So today she thought, what the heck...I should just stand up and get ready to go. AND SHE DID! For the first time ever, she stood up by herself and balanced for 2 minutes.Way to go mom!!!

Mom wrote this on the blog today: "i feel the warmth of your love and prayers. i love you all"

Side note, I was looking at her blog "statistics" and this blog, thanks to all of you have been viewed over 10,000 times! Yes, you read that correct. 1.0.0.0.0., 10,000 page clicks.  Maybe we should start selling advertising...hmm?

Today dad and I were talking about what life will look like when mom gets home and laughing at all the wonderful things that will happen. Let's all try to come up with a "top ten" list for mom:

I'll start:
1. When you get home you will be amazed at all the hidden cooking talents your friends have (or might not have) when they bring you food! :)

2. When you get home and "if" you have to use a wheelchair temporarily, dad will have himself some awesome triceps from wheeling you around on your new adventures!

3. When you get home and again, "if" you have to use a wheelchair, you can get the Handicap hanger for the car and get front row parking everywhere! No more parking far away from the door to get exercise...front row baby!

4. Other thoughts?

3 comments:

  1. Boise and Don we are so excited about you coming home, we all miss you so much.

And When you get home you will not have to worry about who your new roomate is going to be, of course Don kicks them out anyway.

    love mike and candy
