Day 53: Business as usual

Day 53:

This should be moms quote for the day: "Hey, you can do it".

Why?

Because this morning she was back in business. Last night she rested in ICU and this morning when I talked to dad, she was drinking a Starbucks and eating a maple bar. Ahem (clearing throat) ...hugh? Well, okay I guess she's feeling better. Granted, she just her skull replaced hours ago but hey, what do I know.

I just talked to dad again and he said a few hours ago in walked her therapists and said, "okay, it's time for therapy". Ahem (clearing throat again), hugh?

Guess it goes to show that we can all be pushed and if other people don't see any limits, nor should we.

At the risk of sounding juvenile, Mom is kicking BUTT and TAKING NAMES PEOPLE! She'll most likely be in ICU another day or so simply because of the attentiveness of the nurses and doctors. Then, back to rehab....!

Everyone is overjoyed, Doctors are fluffing their feathers, mom is beyond relieved and family and friends can relax. Big sigh together now....
